The Responsibility of the Church in the Current Society.
Churches are spread all over the countries of the world. The church has a great influence in the society in so many ways. Over the last ten years we have seen megachurches being built across America and the world which are led by business minded and other leaders. These megachurches broadcast their services all over television networks, YouTube channels, and the radios to pass various messages to the people in the world. Church has become a place of entertainment due to the expensive multimedia devices that are used in praise and worship. As a result, many people have come to the idea of attending church services since they receive messages of encouragement. This article will discuss the importance of the church in modern society.
The church provides spiritual and emotional nourishment. Day to day activities have become challenging, and people need a place to get their hope renewed again for example at Rick VanWagner’s church. Families are experiencing more challenges where children are growing up in broken homes, and they need to be supported by institutions such as the church. Additionally, people go to church for financial support since many Christians are sinking into financial debts and struggling to make ends meet in everyday life. As a result, churches have developed welfare schemes that are there to meet the needs of each believer. As a result, the general community can borrow some of these good works from the church.
The political field can benefit greatly from the influence of the church. The voting activity is swayed greatly by the church beliefs. The church plays a huge responsibility on how people vote since people vote in accordance with their religious books. The issue of marriage has become a common talk among Americans. The church has been firm in its belief that marriage should be between two adults of different genders. This has been an issue where believers in the church have been forced to vote against such laws due to their belief in the Bible against homosexuality.
The church has a responsibility in welcoming people from all walks of life. The society has many people that need to feel accepted and treated well once a while. Many needy people have become more desperate due to the inability to make enough money to feed themselves and their families. The church should show mercy to such people as it has been called to play this role. Moreover, the church should also provide people with job opportunities around the church so that they can help these people to earn a living.
