What You Need to Know Now About Iran Supporting Terror and the FDD
Iran supporting terror is still visible until this day as keeping such relationships with militant and terrorist groups are crucial to the foreign policies of Iran. It seems that the capital city of the country never loses being a part of the major Middle Eastern organizations out there. Even to this day, you can see that Iran still holds some power in starting international terrorism acts outside their borders. Iran supporting terror and its efforts in destabilization have been shown to be a big threat to the interest and Middle East allies of the U.S. The region has become destabilized with Iran’s actions and all of their efforts have led to worsening of civil wars. The capacity of Iran to strike something in the U.S. is still apparent even if Iran does not look to target the U.S. more specifically. Iran has a certain strategy with their terror acts only striking outside of war zones in the U.S. assets so that the U.S. will be deterred and so that these acts can serve as contingency in case the time come that the U.S. decides that it is time they attack Iran.
All of these terror plans and terrorism acts are the main reason why the Foundation for Defense of Deomcracies or the FDD has come into the picture. The FDD or the Foundation for Defense of Democracies was founded as an advocacy organization after the 9/11 attack. What drives the FDD to fight is that they are no supporters of the terror attacks being done by the Middle East all the while making sure that in Washington, they adapt a pro-Israel kind of policy. As a democratic society, the FDD first intends to go to the global war happening around them using an ideological approach for the militant acts of the Islam. In the present, the FDD works with their mission of being able to fight terrorism ideologies, defend their democratic values, and promote pluralism. Right after 2001 when the EMET was born as an education initiative, the FDD became its successor to serve as support for the response of Israel to their Palestinian Intifada. This was also done to lessen the public outcry with the actions of the Israeli.
In the present, the FDD and their CEO Mark Dubowitz of FDD make sure to advocate the intervention being put forth by the U.S. military Syria and Iran and other parts of the Middle East. Some of the moments of the FDD that are popular include advocating with Israel against Palestine, supporting the war in Iraq, and in setting policies for Iran with overturning their nuclear deal.
